The city of Fort Wayne covers most of this mostly suburban township.

The Allen County Genealogical Society has a name only index to all county cemeteries through the 1980's publishing date. You may want to check the Allen County Lookup page for a volunteer willing to do lookups from the cemetery books, which are published and for sale by the Allen County Genealogical Society of Indiana.

The Mary Penrose Wayne Chapter NSDAR, National Society Daughter's of the American Revolution as part of their Allen County Indiana Cemetery Project also have an Aboite Township Cemeteries web site some with transcribed names and photographs.

Located on the northeast corner of Stellhorn and Wheelock Roads. Earliest burial December 9, 1830. In use. NSDAR has the 1932 transcription of tombstone names. Was located on the Wallen Road, east of the Old Auburn Road, on the west side of the building. Private; Catholic priests and brothers. Earliest date 1942. No longer exists. The Indiana DNR SHARD shows the location of this cemetery on a pdf file. IN DNR Latitude 41.1606 Longitude 85.1158

Fort Wayne State Hospital & Training Center Cemetery

Located on west side of St. Joe Road, between Broyles and Canterbury Boulevards. One large stone only, dated from July 1901 to May 1967. Also know as Indiana Feeble-minded School Cemetery. Find-A-Grave shows a memorial stone.

Located 2403 East Wallen Road. Public. Records available at the cemetery office. Find-A-Grave has 495 internments. IN DNR Latitude 41.1653 Longitude 85.1131.

Indiana Feeble-Minded School Cemetery

See Fort Wayne State Hospital and Training Center Cemetery. The Indiana State Archives mentions the origin of this school in the 1880's.

Klinger Cemetery

Located on the Saint Joseph River, near the 13th hole of the Riverbend Golf Course at 7207 Saint Joe Road. Earliest burial about 1834. According to old Plat Records in the Allen County Court House, there was a treaty between the United States and the Indians called "The Treaty of the Wabash" in 1826, giving certain lands to the Indians. The present-say golf course is on the before-mentioned land. Also know as Riverbend Cemetery.

Originally located between Reed Road and Maplecrest, off Trier and Stellhorn Roads. Cemetery was on the Bullerman farm. Removed to Saint Peter Lutheran (Goeglein) Cemetery. Also known as Bullerman and Saint Stephen's Cemetery. Please let us know if you know more about the former location of the cemetery.

Parker Cemetery

Located on the southeast corner of the Saint Joe and Saint Joe Center Roads. In 1846, Peter and Elizabeth Parker donated two acres for a township cemetery. Earliest date March 13, 1850. In use. Some tombstones were relocated and a new sign with fencing added in the mid 2000's to allow widening of the roads and intersection. Find-A-Grave lists 157 interments. Latitude 41.1331 Longitude 85.0986.

Pierre Settlement Cemetery

Located on the south side of the Saint Joe Center Road, east of Hazelet Road. Early French settlers. Earliest date 1871. Not in use. (Acadamie, a woman's training school was located on the present-day Wallen Road. Prior to the establishment of Acadamie - Saint Vincent, name of the early settlers attended services here and were buried here. See Washington Township, Sacred Heart (Saint Vincent Cemetery). Also known as Saint Michael's Roman Catholic Cemetery. NSDAR has the 1932 transcription of tombstone names. Appears to be 7800 St. Joe Center Road behind the brown roof building, if you know exact location on the Google map please let us know.

Located on the south side of the 7750 block of State Street, west of the church. Earliest date 1840. Early German settlers. Find-A-Grave lists 133 internments without distinguishing Old or New cemetery. IN DNR Latitude 41.1058 Longitude 85.0403.
