RUFUS BAKER VICTIM OF THE INFLUENZA

Died at Camp Dodge, Ia., Tuesday-Father, George Baker, Lives on Rural Route No 6.

The Spanish influenza has claimed another Bartholomew county soldier and this time it is Rufus Baker, who made the supreme sacrifice. The young soldier died of the disease at Camp Dodge, Des Moines, Iowa.

Rufus Baker was a son of George Baker, who lives on rural route No. 6 in Ohio township. The father received word on Tuesday that his son was seriously ill and on the same day he received word of his death. The father is a widower and has a large family of children. The dead soldier was sent into the service early in the war with Germany.

FUNERAL OF RUFUS BAKER.

The body of Rufus Baker, whose death occurred at Ft. Dodge, Ia., arrived here last evening and was taken to the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Baker, two mile south-west of Ogilville and the funeral services will be held from the late residence Monday morning at 10 o'clock, and burial will be made in Zion cemetery.
