A Well Known Farmer Living in Union Township

The tragedy occurred just before 12 o’clock – shot himself through the head – death came at once – lives nine miles West of this city – His wife and several grown children are left

Lawrence Bishop, a well-known farmer living in Union Township, committed suicide just before noon today. He used a gun to end his life. There is no cause assigned as a reason why he should commit the deed.

   Mr. Bishop lived with his family nine miles west of Columbus. His wife and several grown children survive him. It is said that worrying on account of certain accounts past due and not paid led him to the act.
