The Columbus Republican Columbus, Indiana Thursday, December 10, 1896 Page 4 Obituary Died, Ora Ethel, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Simeon Carson, at the family home, near Hege, Ind., Dec. 2, 1896. Sad, indeed, was the death of this fair young girl, who was just budding into womanhood when the death messenger came, summoning her away from the vain world of pain, toil and care to that land where there is no more pain, sorrow or parting from loved ones. It seems but a half blown rose, she being just sixteen years of age, but God wanted Ethel for his own, and just reached down, plucked the tender rose bud and transplanted it amid His own bright flowers to grown and flourish throughout an endless eternity. She will be sadly missed, not only in the home circle, but in the entire community and especially in the school where she was a decided favorite. She was a true friend, a loving sister, a dutiful daughter and a thorough Christian. She leaves a father, mother, two brothers, besides a host of sorrowing friends to mourn the loss of one so young.
