COX DIED SATURDAY LIVED FOR MANY YEARS ON A FARM NEAR ELIZABETHTOWN Passed Away on His Farm Near Wichita, Kansas-Was a Man Who Commanded the Respect of His Fellow Citizens. Yesterday relatives received word announcing the death of Issac P. Cox, which occurred at 8 o'clock Saturday night at his home near Wichita, Kas. He was about 80 years old and death reulted from paralysis, with which he was stricken about a year ago. Mr. Cox was a former resident of Bartholomew county, and left here three years ago for Texas, where he lived for about two years. He then purchased a farm near Wichita, Kas., and lived there until death. Deceased was born in North Carolina but lived practically all his life on a farm one and one half miles south west of Elizabethtown. He was a consistent member of the Friends church and was a man held at all times in the highest esteem by his many friends. The remains will be interred in Sandcreek cemetery. They will arrive some time today but it is not known yet whether they will be brought through Clumbus or Seymour. The funeral will take place from the home of Mrs. McHenry, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Mr. Cox's wife preceded him in death about ten years ago. The following daughters are left to mourn: Miss Millicent Cox, who lived with her father in Kansas, Mrs. Lydia A. Parker, of near Azalia; Mrs. Anna Jane Cox. of Kansas, and Mrs. Clara McHenry, of this county. He is also survived by the following brothers: Richard A. Cox, of Lawrence, Kas.; Benjamin Cox, of California, and Jos. R. Cox, of this city.
