The Columbus Republican Columbus, Indiana Thursday, June 19, 1873 Page 3 Obituary Died-Near Walesboro, Ind., June 6th, 1873, Miss Sarah Ann, daughter of B. and M. Dunlap, aged 19 years, 7 months, and 3 days. The deceased had professed a hope in Chirist, and had been a church member for several years. She died with brain fever, and only as a Christian could die in the triumphs of living faith. And, although she was permitted to stay but so short a time with us, yet she had made many warm friends who will long cherish in their memories the love and kindness of Anna. And, whilst we mourn her loss on earth, let us not mourn as those who have no hope, realizing that she has only been transplanted from this world of sorrow, pain, and death, into that of joy, peace, and happiness. And may this sad calamity only speak in tones of warning to the young to "be ever ready." Her funeral was preached by the writer to a very large and attentive congregation from Matt. 24:44, first clause. Dearest sister, thou hast left us; Here thy loss we deeply feel; But 'tis God that hath bereft us; He can all our sorrows heal. H.R.T.
