William H. Emmert April 18, 1939 W. H. Emmert Dies At Hope   Father of Local Man and Woman Stricken Suddenly   -- Funeral Friday   William H. Emmert, 71, died suddenly at 8:10 o'clock this morning at his home at Hope shortly after he had eaten breakfast.  He had been in poor health for the past three years but had been able to be about until Sunday.  He was able to be up for his breakfast this morning and had lain down to rest when he died.  Death was attributed to pulmonary embolism.  Mrs. Emmert was present at the time her husband died.   Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Friday afternoon at the home and at 2 o'clock in the Moravian church at Hope.  Burial will be made in the Moravian cemetery. He was a member of the Moravian Church.   Mr. Emmert was born Aug. 25, 1868 in Jefferson County, the son of Andrew and Barbara Porter Emmert.  He married Miss Leora Robertson March 27, 1895, and they had lived in the Hope community for the last 20 years.  He was employed as night watchman with the Woodard-Billman canning company at Hope for the past six years.   The body was taken to the Patterson funeral home at Hope and will be returned to the family home Wednesday night.  Oscar McIntyre, local funeral director, is in charge of the arrangements.   Survivors include, beside the wife, two daughters, Mrs. Edward Barmes of Columbus and Mrs. Opal Kirts of Hope; two sons, Carl Emmert of East Columbus and Martin Emmert of Hope; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Archie Dudley of Connersville and Mrs. William Cathers near Hope, and several nieces and nephews.
