Orrin (Jack) Gilliland 1907-1994 Oregonian, The (Portland, OR) - June 12, 1994 Deceased Name: JACK GILLILAND Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. June 14, 1994, in Skyline Funeral Home chapel. Mr. Gilliland was born April 12, 1907, in Rugby, Ind. He died of congestive heart failure June 10, 1994, in his Troutdale home. He was 87. He moved to Portland in 1943 and worked as a crane operator until heretired from the Port of Portland in 1969. Mr. Gilliland was a member of the Parkrose United Church of Christ. He was past president of both the Roosevelt High School and Portland State University dad's clubs and was past master of the Timberline Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Tressa; sons, Jack W. of Portland and David M. of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; stepson, Rodney Jobe of Portland; stepdaughters, Charlene Scott of Portland and Lynn Paschke of Lancaster, Calif.; sister, Mildred Davis of Flint, Mich.; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Disposition was by cremation. Remembrances: Parkrose Order of Eastern Star, for cancer research.
