Anderson Griffey, for many years a resident of Hartsville, died there last Monday about 10 o'clock of heart trouble. He had been ill for some time but was thought to be better a short time before his death. Mr. Griffey was 75 years old and was a veteran of the civil war, having served in Company D. of the Seventh Indiana Volunteer Infantry. He was a member of the G.A.R. and Knights of Pythias and was also a member of the M.E. church. For many years he was a harness maker at Hartsville. He leaves a widow, having been married fifty-one years.
