The Republic Columbus, Indiana Saturday, April 28, 1923 Page 1 AGED RESIDENT CALLED BY DEATH Mrs. Debbie Hovis, 90 years old, one of the oldest residents of the county, passed away last night at her home in Waymansville, following an illness of nineteen years of a complication of diseases. Mrs. Hovis for may years had been ill of dropsy and for the past twelve years she had been entirely confined to an invalid chair. Mrs. Hovis had spent most of her life in the Waymansville neighborhood and she was a most highly esteemed woman. For a number of years her daughter, Mrs. Sarah Weekly, has made her home with her mother, taking care of her. and besides Mrs. Weekly there are five other surviving children, one of whom, a son, Ed Hovis, resides in this city. Funeral services will be held Sunday at the home.
