The Republic Columbus, Indiana Monday, March 6, 1911 Page 1 Aaron Huffer Dead. Aaron Huffer, aged 73 years, died Sunday at the Soldiers' Home in Marion. The body will be brought here this evening and taken to the morgue of J.D. Emmons & Company, where it will be prepared for burial. Funeral from the Newbern M.E. church, Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Mr. Huffer was a veteran of the civil war, having served in Company G, Sixth Indiana volunteer Infnantry. He had a number of relatives in the Newbern neighborhood and Dolph Huffer, of this city, was his nephew. Mr. Huffer was in poor health when he went to the Marion Home a few days ago and failed rapidly after he arrived there. The body of the late Aaron Huffer, who died in the soldiers' home at Marion, arrived here Monday night and was taken to the home of William Wallace. The funeral will be held from the Newbern M.E. church Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock and burial will be in the Newbern cemetery.
