Mrs. Christean Huffer, who died at her home two miles north of Newbern, Sunday, was buried Monday afternoon in the same dress in which she was married. Mrs. Huffer was born in Marion county in 1823 and all of her near relatives died some time ago. Her husband died thirteen years ago and was buried in the Hartsville college cemetery. Mrs. Huffer was buried by his side. The dress in which she was buried was an elegant black silk and fifty-four years ago Mrs. Huffer was married in it. She preserved the dress over half a century and determined several years ago to be buried in it.
