The Republic Columbus, Indiana Tuesday, March 29, 1904 Page 2 Obituary Mrs. Anna Jackson (Miss Anna Frost) was born in Ohio in the year 1820. When a mere child she emigrated with her parents to this states, settling in Franklin county where in 1842 she was united in marriage to Elijah Jackson. To this union was born twn children-sever boys and three girls, of whom two daughters and one son preceded her in death. She is survived by seven children, twenty-two grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Children-useful and honorable men and women. On June 20, 1898, her husbanc, Elijah Jackson, passed away and on March the fourth, 1904, she followed him at the age of eighty-three years, six months and twenty-seven days. "A precious one from us has gone, A voice we loved is stilled; A place is vacant in our home, Which never can be filled." "God in His wisdom has recalled the boon His love has given, And though the body slumbers here, the soul is safe in heaven." They moved from Franklin county to this county in 1849, settling in Rockcreek township, one mile east of Burnsville, residing there one year, then moving to the present home where she passed away. She, with her husband, united with Little Sandcreek Baptist church in 1850, under the ministry of Rev. Hiram Pond, and was the oldest member of the church at the time of her death. She was a faithful member and regular attendant at Divine service. She was an affectionate wife and a devoted mother, striving to train up her children in the way they should go.
