Lee, at one time pastor of the Grace M.E. church of Franklin, died last Saturday at his home in Lawrenceburg, after a long illness. He had spent thirty years in the Methodist ministry and was a man loved by all who knew him. Deceased was a veteran of the civil war. He retired with the rank of major. He was twice the republican candidate for Congress in the Fourth district and was supervisor of the census in this district in 1900. At the time of his death he was 70 years of age. He leaves five sons, the oldest being Edwin M. Lee, chairman of the republican state committee.
