Barbara Ann Ostrander, 87, of Columbus, passed from this life at 10:21 p.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Four Seasons Health Care Center. Mrs. Ostrander was the co-owner with her husband, Joseph of Acme Electric and she served the Columbus community doing charitable work with various organizations such as Asbury United Methodist Church, Our Hospice, and the Senior Citizens Center. 
She was a faithful member of Asbury United Methodist Church and also enjoyed membership in the Sertoma Club. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, flower gardening, reading, traveling, and playing cards and bridge. 
   

Born in Cedar Falls, Iowa November 13, 1926, Mrs. Ostrander was the daughter of Earl and Grace Farnsworth Manning. She married Joseph A. Ostrander June 15, 1948. He preceded her in death April 10, 2008. 
   Survivors include her children, Tim (Gwynn) Ostrander of Columbus, Andrea Ostrander and her husband, Craig Bouse of Indianapolis, and Lee (Alice) Ostrander of Columbus; grandchildren, Amanda (Justin) Williams of Columbus, Morgan Ostrander of Santa Barbara, CA, Megan (Mike) Agugliaro of Noblesville, Andrew Bouse and his fiancée, Lisa Azar of Westfield, Brooke (Travis) Mouser of Columbus, and Brad Ostrander of Columbus; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ostrander was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, and her brothers and sisters.
