Monday night a telegram was received by Mr. Perry stating that Miss Perry was very ill and Tuesday morning Mrs. Perry and Dr. A. J. Banker, the family physician, left for Atlanta to be at the bedside. They could not arrive until 7 o'clock this morning and Miss Perry died before that hour. Miss Perry was born on the old home place on north Washington street and lived there until ten or fifteen years ago when she went south for the benefit of her health. She had been a resident of Atlanta for the past ten years owing to the fact that she could not live in this climate. She was a woman of unusual intelligence and she possessed a sweet nature and cheery disposition which won her friends wherever she went and there is a large circle of friends here who are shocked to hear of her death.
