Nov 1962 from "The Republic" Columbus, Bartholomew, IN Jimmie Lee Talkington, 61, of 524 Eighth Street, died at 6:15 o'clock Monday night at Bartholomew County Hospital after an 18-month illness. Mr. Talkington had been employed for 38 years at the Pentzer Printing Company. He had lived all his life in Columbus and was a member of the First Christian Church and the Columbus Grange. He was born in this county near Burnsville 29 July 1901, the son of the late James and Etta Riley Talkington. He married the fromer Miss Ruth VanSickle on the 6 February 1955. Surviving with the wife are a sister, Mrs. Carrie Seele of Connersville; two nieces, Mrs. Bernard HIggs of Connersville and Mrs. Nick Fox of Camden, N.J. and a cousin, Mrs. Roy Eades of Columbus. Funeral services will be a 1:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Reed Funeral Home, conducted by Dr. T. K. Smith. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Persons may call after 11 o'clock Wednesday morning at the funeral home. * I found this clipped out of the newspaper with some of my grandparents pictures.
