Obituary

Samuel R., son of James and Susan Talkington, was born June 24, 1878, at the present homestead, near Grammer, Ind. He departed this life Feb. 1, 1896, aged 17 years, 7 months and 7 days, leaving a father, mother, four sisters, three brothers and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his loss.

Oh! the glorious composure and happy triumph of that closing scene. The last sweet, fond, farewell kiss will ever remain a cherished remembrance more precious than gold, or even life itself. They will, in future years, furnich abiding convictions that a loving brother will live on in glory and joy fast by he throne of God, and, when the duties and conflicts of life are o'er the friends will feel that they are sure to meet him.
