NOTE: Please if contacting anyone on the surname lists - be considerate and do not
ask a vague or imposing question; be willing to supply as much detail and documentation on
your family line as possible to help locate and be willing to pass on sources to
others - many feel that it is not worth while to register with a surname data base
because of vague non-productive queries are made.
There is space for surname, you name & your website if available or if you find
someone who has a Carroll County connections and srunames on a website while surfing -
why not send them for the data base.
Then there is a query column - I have started some of these from general questions
I have gotten or a plea for help or lookups;
from here you can find available volunteers and
a list of sources for Carroll County. Please proof your
spelling of names and places, dates as I do a cut and paste and do some editing if necessary.
Be considerate when corresponding with those listed - don't say I am researching
the "Brown's" and ask broad undefined questions - state the WHO, WHAT and WHEN
of the PERSON or FAMILY you are looking for - PLEASE! Be willing to share and not
just take also - this is what this page and site is all about - free access for
genealogy.
