DAVID McBRIDE CEMETERY BURIALS
Jeffersonville Township, Clark County, Indiana

Neighborhood dog "on guard" at David McBride Family Cemetery. All of the stones are piled beneath the large tree to the right of center. Pile of McBride family stones beneath the old tree in the lot between 618 and 624 Spicewood Drive in Parkwood Subdivision in Clarksville.

This cemetery is located (in 1995) in Parkwood Subdivision in Clarksville. The cemetery lies on the lots between 618 and 624 Spicewood Drive. All stones are down; some are broken; others are missing.

We visited David McBride Family Cemetery after the CCCPC meeting in Clarksville on April 4, 1998. The lot is beautifully maintained and the grass appears carefully manicured. The pile of broken stones, however, is just heart-breaking.

Pictured at left is the stone of CLARISA MINERVA McBRIDE, who died 11/06/1875.

An unknown number of people are buried here, but all are members of David McBride's family and this cemetery is on the old McBride farm.

David McBride is the only McBride listed on the 1820 and 1830 Clark County Censuses.
