I really appreciate the efforts of those restoring the cemeteries of
Clark Co. I visited the Espy cemetery and the restoration enabled me to
see the grave of an ancestor from way back. Its a shame it's being attacked
again by vandals.

I think Thompson Chapel cemetery may be in Clark County, because my
ancestor Abraham Hamon, d. 1837, is said to be buried there, and that it
is near Moberly, Indiana. Is Moberly in Clark County? Other possibility
was that it's in Dubois County. Anyone know about that?

I'm trying to locate the graves of my great-great-grandparents, Christian
Wyler (who died 8/18/1937 in NC, but buried in Jeffersonville) and his
wife Maria Anna elizabeth Probst Wyler (who died about six months earlier).
They lived in Jeffersonville Twp. of Clark Co., IN, and were enumerated
at house 8, family 8 in the 1920 census. Christian's mother, Elizabeth
Wyler, who died 1/6/1915, is probably buried adjacent to them. They were
emigrants from Switzerland, and were probably members of a Lutheran or
Reformed church in the Jeffersonville area. Anyone who knows where they
are buried, please contact me. Thanks. Jim in Chicago

Lois, thought your meeting at the Clarksville Library in April was
interesting. Am going to approach a couple of our chapters to see if we
might be able to help and learn the techniques talked about. They might
be more inclined to do so at a site where a known Rev War Patriot is buried,
but still a worth while project. I am more interested in Harrison County
myself as most of my relatives came from there and know of two very bad
cemetaries that are in terrible shape, make that three and a fourth is
pretty good shape however lots of stone in the old part are missing. Keep
up the good work!

I am looking for the resting place of my great grandparents John and
Ann(Jackson) Frothingham. They lived in Clark Co. in 1840. John appears
in the 1850 Mortality Index and I beleive Ann preceeded him in death betwween
1848 and 1850. They were survived by four minor children, a female under
15, three son's Thomas , John and Levi. Levi was living with Dr. W.W. Britton
and family in Washington township in 1860. You are doing a great public
service in listing Clark Co. Cemeteries on the net.

I use to live on 31 E south of Sellersburg, there is a old cemetery
on the Camp Chelan lake property, it is located on the side where the tunnels
of the old quarry are. To find this property you need to walk south from
tunnels toward where they come out, ou will find a small square wall made
of stone. Inside you will find some small gravestones. Last time I was
there was around 1962, I use to fish in the old quarry when the YWCA ran
the Camp. I currently live in Dallas and do miss Clark County (I'm from
C arlestown), you are doing good work.
