WEBB FARM CEMETERY BURIALS
Oregon Township, Clark County, Indiana

Correspondent Gail Parish <chip@aye.net> reported in 1997 that she was involved in the restoration of this site and advises it is unquestionably in Oregon Township, albeit very near the Washington Township line.

Webb Farm Cemetery (perhaps also known as the Griffin Family Cemetery) is located on a active cattle farm near Charlestown [translation: there are BULLS on this property]. Consequently, the property owners are very concerned about safety for any invited or uninvited visitors to the site. If you have a genuine interest in this site, I recommend that you contact Gail Parish to make the necessary arrangements.

Above are two pictures from the cemetery, courtesy of Gail Parrish.

The first is of Priscilla Bullock's stone with Old Fashioned Daffodils that come up every spring. No one knows how long they've been there, but, no one in recent years had planted any.

The previous owners let their cattle in the cemetery, breaking off the stones and burying the stones under dirt!

The second picture is of the cemetery after Gail and her family cleaned it up in the spring of 1997.

Actually, this ought to be called the "Griffin Family Cemetary" because it is the GRIFFIN family which is buried there.

The present owners are concerned that visitors may try to visit the site without their knowledge, risking injury, especially in light of the bulls on the property. If you are interested in visiting the Webb Farm Cemetery, please contact Gail Parrish at chip@aye.net.
