Elizabeth Love Neal

Elizabeth (daughter of James and Barbara Hastings Love) was born April 19,
1837, in Philadelphia, Montgomery Co., Pennsylvania.  She married John Neal
November 20, 1839.  She was a homemaker and Mother to their 12 children: Mary
Ann, Amanda "Mandy," Barbara, Louisa, Elihu Peter "Pete," Henry Zacharia
"Zack," Sarah Elizabeth, Lydia, Susanna Kathryn "Kate," Wilson, Abrereal and
John Addison.  Because John Married outside the Quaker Faith, he was
dismissed.  He joined the United Brethren Church upon his marriage to
Elizabeth (believed that she was already a member of that church).  Reverend
John filled the first pulpit in Lewis Township, Clay County, IN.  They are
both buried in the Old Union Cemetery, Lewis Township, Clay Co., IN. west of
Jasonville.  The cemetery was part of Union Christian Church which existed
until late 1920s or 30's.
