I'm Kathy Allen, the new coordinator for Daviess County. Any of you that have visited this site before must know that the past coordinator, Rosemarie Chambers, and many others have done a beautiful job of collecting and providing information about this county. As you can see I have begun to make it my own a little but this will take many months. As I said, we had great coordinators before me and some with very intricate designs in this site. I hope we can continue along the same path and that you will feel free to contact me with questions, comments, and contributions. Email: Kathy Allen

Once again I owe some of you for sending in obits and military information for me to add. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Daviess County was created from Knox County in 1817. It is located in southern Indiana and is surrounded by Greene County to the north, Martin County to the east, Dubois and Pike Counties to the south and Knox County to the west. As many of the early settlers traveled and resided between these counties, we encourage you to check out our INGenWeb neighbors with the links provided above.
