Cletus K. Armes, 82, 1006 Axtel Ave, died at 1:12 a.m. today at Daviess County Hospital. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Gill Chapel with Rev. Charles Newman officiating and burial in Aikman Creek Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday. Armes was born Jan 23, 1902, in Daviess County, the son of Hayes and Melissa White Armes. He married Lucille Fitzgerald Madden Aug 1, 1970, and she survives. He was retired from Burnes Agency, Detroit, MI, for which he was a security officer. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and its Men's Bible Class. Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Richard, Dearborn, MI,; Jerry, Costa Mesa, CA; four grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Donna Beck, Newport Beach, CA. Also surviving are three step-daughters, Mrs. Hugh (Phyllis) McLemore and Mrs. Arthur (Barbara) Boddy, both of Washington; Mrs. William (Kay) Gregory, Painesville, OH; three stepsons, Bruce Madden, Richardson, TX; William Madden, Henderson, KY, and Thomas Madden, Richland, VA. He was preceded in death by one son.
