OCEANSIDE, Calif. — Gordon Wesley Armes, 58, died Saturday at Oceanside Tri County Hospital in California. Born Feb. 22, 1951, in Daviess County, he was the son of Hobart Depauw and Glendora Elizabeth (Gress) Armes. Gordon Wesley Armes OCEANSIDE, Calif. — Gordon Wesley Armes, 58, died Saturday at Oceanside Tri County Hospital in California. Born Feb. 22, 1951, in Daviess County, he was the son of Hobart Depauw and Glendora Elizabeth (Gress) Armes. He graduated from Washington High School in 1969 and from Purdue University in 1972. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Armes; two sons, Nathan Andrew and Kyle Ian Armes of Vista, Calif.; three stepdaughters, Jessica Everest of North Carolina, Amber Elena Gates and Christine Jennifer Patton, both of California; one brother, Randy Alan Armes of Washington; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sharon Kay and John A. Edwards of Wheatland and Carol Ann and Charles Sloan of Noblesville; mother-in-law, Elena Margaret Howell of California; stepgrandchildren and nieces and nephews. Following cremation there will be a memorial service Sunday in Oceanside.
