William Armes

William Armes, 65, was taken by death suddenly at his home, 405 S. E. 11th Street, last evening from a heart attack. Death occurred at 10:30. Mr. Armes had been under the care of a doctor for a year, but his condition had not been serious.
Deceased was born on September 10, 1883 in Harrison Township, the son of Anderson and Elizabeth (White) Armes. He was educated in the county schools and married Ollie Hamilton on June 1st, 1905.
He was a carman at the B & O shops and was a member of Central Christian Church, Charity Lodge 30, F & A.M., Washington Chapter 92 and Council 67 of the Masonic order and the I.O.O.F. lodge.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday at Central Christian with the Rev. John A. Barr, assisted by Rev. Hale, conducting services. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Masonic services will also be held. Friends may call at the residence.
Survivors are his widow and the following children: Mrs. Hazel Gromer, city, William Earl Armes, Washington Township, Roy Armes and Melvin Armes, city and Mrs. Marguerite Ray, Indianapolis. Three chidlren, Betty, Harley Ray and Venola, are deceased. There are six grandchildren.
He also leaves a sister, Mrs. Charles Chickedantz, city and a brother, Sherman Armes, Harrison Township.
