ROBERT BATCHELOR DEAD AFTER A LONG ILLNESS
Well Known Citizen Passes Away at Home in Third Ward
Funeral services for Robert R. Batchelor, thirty-nine years of age, who died at 2:10 o'clock Friday afternoon at his home, northwest First Street, will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon from the First United Brethren Church.  The Rev. W.W. Moore of Linton, a former pastor of the church, will conduct the services and the burial will be made in Oak Grove Cemetery.  Mr. Batchelor, who was a well driller by occupation, had been in failing health for more than a year. Pulmonary tuberculosis being the cause of death.  He was a native of Orange county and is survived by his mother; his second wife Mrs. Lula Gibbs Batchelor and four children, George, Eldon, Bernard and Edith, all of whom live at home.  Mr. Batchelor was a devout member of the United Brethren church.  He was favorably known through out the city.
