Morris Olan Burkhart

Morris Olan Burkhart, 80, 404 E. Pearl St., died at 7:18PM Sunday at St. Vincent's Hospital, Indianapolis. Born June 7, 1925 in Daviess County, he was the son of Everett F. and Winnie (Eaton) Burkhart. A 1943 graduate of Epsom High School, he retired from McCord Corp. after 19 years service and later was the city park superintendent for 18 years. He was a member of Parkview Christian Church, Plainville and Moose Lodge. He received the J. P. Hagel Award in 1993. He is survived by his wife Dorothy J. (Killion) Burkhart, whom he married Feb. 24, 1946; a daughter Marsha and Roddy Davis of Washington; grandson, Dusty Davis of Washington; sister, Barbara Ramsey of Odon; and brother, James Norwood Burkhart of Odon. Two brothers, Max and Garland Ray Burkhart, are deceased. The funeral will be at 1:30PM Wednesday at Parkview Christian Church, with Bros. Jonathon Ingram and Paul Ingram officiating. Burial will be in Plainville Cemetery. Visitation is from 4PM to 8PM today and from 9AM to 11AM Wednesday at Gill Chapel and after noon Wednesday at the church. Preferred memorials are to Parkview Christian Church
