LYDIA M. BURRESS DIES AT SANDBORN
Lydia Myrtle Burress, formerly of Martin Co., passed away at her home near Sandborn Sunday evening, June 26, after an illness of 10 months.
She was born Oct. 28, 1881 in Martin Co., the daughter of Edward and Anna Rice Nolley. Her first marriage was to Seth Cunningham and he preceded her in death. She married Monroe Burress Nov. 17, 1917 and he survives along with these children: Marie Cunningham, at home, Howard Cunningham, Vincennes, Mrs. Mildred Peterson, Racine, Wisc., Mrs. Helen Wilbur, Vincennes, Mrs. Lorene Hays, Lawrenceville, Rex Burress, Sandborn. Three stepchildren, Mrs. Genevieve Helling, Morris, Ill., Dalabert Burress, Dayton, Ohio and Mrs., Mary Riggles, Bruceville and these brothers and sisters also survive; George Nolley, Washington, Mrs. Helen Stuckey, Indianapolis, Mrs. Gertrude Hardwick, Dayton, Ohio and 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Lemon and McClure funeral home in Bicknell with burial following in Walnut Hill cemetery at Odon.
