ORVILLE CHAMBERS
Orville A. Chambers, 79, 1207 Vista Lane, died at the Daviess County Hospital at 7:10 p.m. Sunday. He had been ill for two months.
He was born Dec 28, 1902, in Daviess County to Mack and Millie (Irwin) Chambers. He married Vivian Arnold May 24, 1924, and she died Dec 23, 1981.
Mr. Chambers was a retired Pepsi Cola distributor, working for 20 years. He was later superintendent of the disposal plant retiring in 1968.
He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. He attended Elnora schools. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge and was Past Secretary of the Moose Lodge. Surviving are one son, Robert O. Chambers, city, three grandsons, two great grandchildren and two brothers, Charles Chambers, Indianapolis and Joe Chambers, LaCosta, CA. He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Gill Chapel with the Rev. Robert Allred officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
