In loving memory

Pleasie Chestnut

1898 -7 Jul 1919

Pleasie Chestnut, daughter of Harvey and Anza (Noblett) Chestnut (both deceased) passed away last Monday afternoon, her death being due to tuberculosis from which she had suffered for some time. Death occurred at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Montgomery where she had made her home since the death of her mother. Her father and mother preceded her in death eighteen and twelve years ago respectively. One sister, Pearl, three brothers, Walter, Jesse, and Harvey Ray survive her. The sister and two brothers were at her bedside at the time of her death, but Walter who has been in failing health for some months was unable to leave his room. She was a member of the Church of God at Shiloh and her splendid Christian spirit made friends for her wherever she was known. The funeral services were held from the United Brethren Church at Raglesville Tuesday, July 8th at 10:30AM with Rev. Ernest Roberts of Odon in charge. Burial was made in the Raglesville cemetery.
