Laura Colvin

—Washington - Laura COLVIN, 75, 612 E. Main St., died at her residence at 9:20 p.m. Saturday following a four-month illness. She and her husband, the late Cletus COLVIN, operated the Colvin Nursing Home in Washington for 20 years. She was a member of the Legion of Mary, ladies auxiliary of the American Legion and Ladies of the Moose. Born Dec 13, 1904, in Montgomery to James and Ethel (CUNNINGHAM) DAILY, she married Cletus COLVIN Sept 29, 1925, and he died in 1977. Surviving are two daughters: Mrs. Jack (Louise) OSMON, Plainville, and Mrs. Robert (Wilma) BROWN, Loogootee; a son, Jack COLVIN, Washington; two sisters, Mrs. Walter (Alice) RAYMANN, Washington and Mrs. Dale (KATHERYN) GRAVES, Hurricane, UT; four brothers, Louis DAILY, Washington, Bill DAILY, Fountaintown, IN, James DAILY, Union Lake, MI, and Austin DAILY, California; 13 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Two sisters, Mary DANT and Margaret CULLIVAN; and two brothers, Joe DAILY and John DAILY, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Simon's Catholic Church with burial in St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ed Lee Mortuary after 10 a.m. today. A parish rosary will be said at 6:30 p.m. today.
