Walter Cullivan

Walter Cullivan, 85, who had made his home at the Washington Nursing Center, died at the Center, at 5:10 p.m. Friday. Mr. Cullivan had been in failing health three years and was seriously ill one week. Mr. Cullivan operated a store at Pennyville many years and formerly operated the City Motel. He was educated in Daviess County Schools. He was born in Reeve Township Oct 3, 1891 and was a son of Michael and Mary Jane (Hedrick) Cullivan. His first wife, Mae Taylor, is deceased and his second wife, Margaret Daily died Nov 4, 1974. He leaves one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Mary Jayne) Frantz, Akron, Ohio; and one sister, Mrs. Josephine Shelton, city. One daughter, Cleta, two brothers, Ed and Matthew and two sisters, Ella Colvin and Sadie Colvin are deceased. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Church of which he was a member. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Reeve Township. Friends may call at the Ed Lee Mortuary after 11 a.m. Monday. Members of St. Simon's parish and friends will pray a rosary at 8 p.m. Monday.
