Margaret Denson Died Here Sunday
Mrs. Margaret E. Denson, age 52, 1004 Downey Avenue, city, passed away at 1:28 a.m. Sunday at the Daviess County Hospital. She had been in failing health for one year and seriously ill for one hour.
Mrs. Denson was born in Washington, Indiana, October 2, 1908, the daughter of William P. and Mary Ellen Ryan Smith. She married Floyd Denson August 25, 1925 and he survives.
She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Auxiliary Knights of St. John. She was educated in the St. Simon's Schools and lived in this community all her life. She was employed at the McCord Corporation here.
Three daughters and a son survive. They are: Mrs. Everett (Elizabeth) Collison and Mrs. Williams (Mildred) Sum, both of this city; Mrs. Earl B. (Ruth) Mills of Greenwood, Indiana; and Charles R. Denson of New London, Conn. There are 16 grandchildren.
Two brothers, Michael and Frank smith of this city, and three sisters, Mrs. Ed Walsh of this city, Mrs. Cecil Goff of Evansville and Mrs. Roy Holland of Loogootee, also survive. Two brothers have preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Mary's Church with burial in St. Johns cemetery.
Friends may call at the Lee & York Chapel.
Auxiliary Knights of St. John will hold memorial services at 7:30 p.m. today.
