Ermil C. Fisher

Ermil C. Fisher, 76, died at Welborn Baptist Hospital, Evansville at 10:50PM Friday. He had been ill the past month and was seriously ill five days. The funeral will be at 10AM Tuesday at Poindexter Funeral Home, Washington Chapel with the Rev. Paula Mayberry assisted by Bro. Richard Smith. Interment will be in Sugarland Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 2 to 9PM today at the funeral home. He was born Sept. 10, 1911 in Daviess County to Harvey and Eva (Cornelius) Fisher. He married Margaret Guthrie June 9, 1934 and she died Dec. 11, 1984. He was a retired flour miller for 45 years retiring from the Plainville Mill. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Plainville. Surviving are one son and one daughter, Gordon Fisher, Elnora, and Mrs. James (Karla) Carroll, Shelburn, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Two brothers, Ivan and Max Fisher, have died.
