Maurice Hinton

Maurice Hinton Taken by Death at Montgomery
Native of Kentucky Died Sunday Night; Funeral Tuesday

Mr. Hinton was born in Kentucky on October 29, 1861, and was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Gabriel Hinton. He was a retired laborer.

The deceased came to Daviess County as a young man and had spent the remainder of his life here.  He was married and is survived by the last wife.

Funeral services will be held at 9 o’clock Tuesday morning at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Montgomery, with burial following in St. Peter’s cemetery.  Ed Keller will have charge of the funeral.

The deceased was a member of St. Peter’s church.   Surviving are two children, Curtis Hinton of Indianapolis and Mrs. James Pettigrew of Harrison Township.  Brothers and sisters surviving are Pole Hinton of Vincennes, Alice Arvin of Loogootee, Minerva Carrico of Loogootee, and Mrs. Sarah Perkins of Indianapolis.

Mr. Hinton was seriously ill for three months prior to his death.  A complication of ailments was given as the cause of his death.
