Kelley Rites To Be Wednesday
Mrs. Josephine F. Kelley, 99, 1010 New St. died at the Daviess County Hospital at 3 a.m. today after a serious illness of one week. She had been in failing health the past 10 years.
One of the county's oldest residents, Mrs. Kelley was born November 13, 1871 to John W. and Susan (Allen ) Tucker and her entire life was spent in Daviess county. She married Patrick kelley in March 1905 and he died in 1950.
She was a member of St. Simon't Catholic Church.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Eva Hammer, Washington, and two cousins, Mrs. Clell (Pearl) Garrison and Mrs. David (Betty) Ison, both of Otwell. Three brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.
The Very Rev. Robert Deig will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Gill Funeral Home with burial in St. John's cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
