JULIA ANN KELSO
Mrs. Julia Ann Kelso, 83 years old, Alfordsville, died at the Daviess County Hospital at 11:05 a.m. Wednesday after a serious illness of one week.
She was born May 31, 1882, in Reeve township, the daughter of Hiram and Mary Jackman and was first married to William J. Porter, who died March 12, 1912. She was married in July 1916, to Edward Kelso who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Kelso was a member of the Alfordsville Methodist Church and the Wide Awake H.D. Club. The only immediate survivors are a step-daughter, Mrs. Arthur Brown, Rt. 1, two step grandsons, one step-granddaughter and two brothers, Thomas Jackman of Washington and Roy Jackman of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A daughter, Mrs. Wilma Robinson, was fatally injured election night as she and her husband, who also died from the accident, were enroute to Washington to deliver election ballots. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Alfordsville Methodist church with Rev. Orin Stephens in charge and burial in Old Union cemetery. Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home in Loogootee after 7 p.m. today and until one hour before the funeral when the body will be taken to the church.
