Myrtle Lucile Myers Kettery

Mrs. Myrtle Lucile Kettery, 86, Thomas Bluff Road, Washington, died at Crestview Nursing Center, Vincennes, at 10:58AM Saturday. The funeral will be at 10:30AM Wednesday at the First Christian Church with Bro. Byron Black officiating. Interment will be in Bethany Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8PM Tuesday at Gill Chapel and from 9 to 10:30AM Wednesday at the church. She was born Aug. 22, 1909 in Daviess County to Curtis and Louise Edith (Ellis) Myers. She married John Alvis Kettery Nov. 3, 1932 and he died March 25, 1978. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Do For Others Sunday school class of the church, and Happy Homemakers Club. She was a 1927 graduate of Epsom High School. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Don (Alice) Taylor, Vincennes, Mrs. Armand (Nancy) Reyes, Schererville, 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter, and two sisters, Mrs. Emily Abel, Washington, and Mrs. Maude Core, Odon. Two daughters and one son, Norma Hughes, Brenda Davis, and Maurice Wayne Kettery, and one sister and one brother, are deceased. The funeral of Myrtle Kettery was at 10:30AM Wednesday at the First Christian Church with Bro. Byron Black officiating. Interment was in Bethany Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kent and Stewart Taylor, Dane and Dustin Davis, Dennis Abbott, Rick Orender and Jeff Bouchie. Honorary bearers were Charles Abel and Earl Bateman.
