Irene McDonald

Mrs. Irene McDonald, 78, 405 E. Walnut Street, Washington, died at her home late Saturday afternoon.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday at St. Mary's Church with Father Ron Zgunda officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Ed Lee Mortuary with a Christian wake service at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

She was born January 15, 1917 in Knox County, Indiana to Francis Marion and Jane Maria Potts Farley. She married Laurence P. McDonald November 14, 1942 and he died March 8, 1983.

She was a retired employee of Uniroyal working for 26 years and was an employee at Reliance Manufacturing five years during World War II. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and was educated in Knox, Sullivan and Vigo County Schools.

Survivors are nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of 13, eight brothers and four sisters.
