MRS. MEADE DIES TODAY
Mrs. Phoebe Arthur Meade,.90, Troy Road, died. at 11:00 a m. today, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Donald Stuckey, RR.2, city. She had been seriously ill for two months and in failing health for the past five years. Mrs. Meade was born April 11, 1867, in Harrison township, the daughter of James R. and Lettie Steen Arthur. On November 10, 1889, she married James B. Meade, and he survives. She was a member of Union Presbyterian Church in Harrison Township, and was educated In the Harrison- township schools. Surviving - besides the husband are three sons, John A. Meade of Missouri Valley, Iowa; Elmer Meade, RR. 2, Montgomery, and Ira Meade, Mount Summit, three daughters. Mrs. Owen (Alice) Fitzgerald and Mrs. Dewey (Martha) Davis, both of RR.4, & Mrs. Donald (Maude) Stuckey, R.R.2,city. There are 11 grandchildren and l great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Dr. Maude Arthur and -Martha R. Arthur, and a brother, Austin Arthur, all of R. R. 4, City, also survive. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Gill Chapel with - burial in the Union cemetery in Harrison township. Friends may call at the Gill Chapel I after noon Thursday.
