MAUDE MOWERY DIED FRIDAY Maude Esther MOWERY, 71, 1200 East Walnut Street, died Friday at 11:25 a.m. at the Daviess County hospital. She had been in failing health for three years and serious for three weeks. The deceased was born in Bellefontaine, OH, Feb 23, 1884, the daughter of James M. and Annis DIETRICH (SLOAN). She married Claude S. MOWERY September 4, 1900, and he preceded her in death August 12, 1948. She was a member of the E.U.B. Church of this city. Surviving children are Benjamin MOWERY, Caivey, KA; Mrs. Oscar (Laura) PADGETT, Vincennes; Herschel MOWERY, Mt. Carmel, IL; Mrs. Donald (Dorothy) NOLLEY, RR 1, Cannelburg; Warren MOWERY, Indianapolis; Harold MOWERY, Oklahoma; and Mrs. Joseph (Betty) LEMON of Princeton. One daughter is deceased. There are 34 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Two sisters and one brother also survive. They are Mrs. Portia FIELDS, of this city; Mrs. Grace WILLIAMS, Hoquian, WA; and Andrew SLOAN of Indianapolis. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Gill Funeral Home with burial in Veale Creek cemetery. Rev. Ryburn Ray will officiate. Friends may call at Gill's
