Samuel Perkins Dies Monday
Samuel Perkins, 77, Montgomery, deid at 5:06 p.m. Monday at the Daviess County Hospital. He had been ill for several months and previously ill 10 days.
Mr. Perkins, who was engaged in farming, was born September 22, 1891 in Daviess County, the son of Grant and Laura (McKnight) Perkins. His first marriage was to Opha Keith in 1913. She preceded him in death September 15, 1932. On March 20, 1945, he married Veral Abbott and she survives.
Besides his widow, he leaves three daughters, Misses Isabelle, Sandra and Shirley Perkins, all at home and one son, Harold Perkins, Washington Route 3; five grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Lillie Baker, Indianapolis. One son and one daughter are deceased.
Mr. Perkins was a member of the Antioch Christian Church. Funeral services will be held there at 2 p.m. Thursday, with Brother Ronald Barnes in charge and burial in Antioch Cemetery. Friends may call at the V. L. Poindexter Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today.
