Wm. Thomas Perkins

Wm. T. Perkins Died Today
Was the Father of Seventeen Children

Wm. Thomas Perkins, 80, of Plainville, RR1, died at the Daviess county hospital at 11:30 p.m. Tuesdayafter a three weeks’ illness.  He had been in a critical condition for the last three days.

His wife, Elizabeth (Lents) Perkins, died in 1938.
The deceased was born Dec. 10, 1865, in Barr Township, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roseberry Perkins.  He was a retired farmer.

Surviving are the following children: Calvin, James, and Joseph Perkins of Indianapolis, Everett of Wadsworth, Ohio, Charles, John and Mrs. Catherine Kyser of Akron, Ohio, Mrs. Sophia Pershing of Los Angeles, and Evalene Perkins at home.  Five sons and three daughters are dead.  He also leaves 22 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Services will be Friday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the V.L. Poindexter Chapel with interment in the Plainville Cemetery.
