REEVE FARMER TAKEN BY DEATH LATE TUESDAY
Crysta Paul Potts, 42, Was Native of Dubois County Crysta Paul Potts, 42, well-known Reeve township farmer, died at 4:15 o'clock Wednesday afternoon following a lingering illness of three years duration. Death of Mr. Potts was attributed to tuberculosis, and he had been seriously ill the last three weeks.
Native of Dubois county, the deceased was born May 17, 1899, being a son of Alfred and Mary (Steward) Potts. At the age of 13 he came to Daviess county with his parents and had resided in Reeve township since that time. He was educated in Reeve. On September 12, 1920, he married Viola Davenport, who survives with two of the five children born to the union.
Surviving are the parents, who live in Reeve; the widow; and two children, Blondiana and Udell Potts at home; two brothers and one sister, Leodis Potts of Jasper, Oris Potts of Reeve township, and Mrs. Fay Potter of Harrison township.
Mr. Potts was a member of the United Brethren Church, and was well and favorable known in his home community. Funeral services are to be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock at the Oak Grove church in Reeve Township, with Rev. Beanblossom of Dale in charge. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. The body was returned to the family home this afternoon, after preparation at the Gill Funeral Chapel. Friends may call at the residence to pay respects.
