FRANCIS POTTS DIED SUDDENLY
Master Francis Heilman Potts, nine-year-old son of Ralph H. and Pearl Bingham Potts of Cowan, IN, died about 7 o'clock Friday morning enroute to the Riley Hospital from Washington. Francis had come here with his parents to spend Thanksgiving with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Potts, Viola Avenue, and Mr. and Mrs. Brant Bingham, 806 Ogden street. He had played all day and was taken ill Thursday evening. An autopsy was performed at Riley to determine the cause of his death. The little boy was born on Feb 7, 1940, in this city, moving later to Cowan, IN, with his parents and brothers, Kenneth R., Harry L. and sister, Charlotte Ann, who survive. He attended the Cowan schools and was a member of the Methodist church of that city. The body will be taken to the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Potts, Viola Ave,. this afternoon. Funeral services will be Monday afternoon at 2:30 at Oak Grove church in Reeve township with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. Hawpins, pastor of the EUB church will be in charge.
