MARY E. POTTS TAKEN BY DEATH LATE YESTERDAY
Illness of Month Fatal to Walter Potts' Wife, Aged 26 Mrs. Mary E. Potts, aged 26 years, wife of Walter J. Potts, died at 4:45 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Daviess County Hospital where she had been taken about 2 hours earlier. Death of Mrs. Potts resulted from Bright's disease. She had been ill for about a month and for the past week had been in a serious condition. The family has been living in Knox county, a short distance north of Road 50 on the Bicknell pavement. So serious was her condition that she was removed to the hospital late Monday in the Williams ambulance. Death came about two hours after her arrival at the hospital. The deceased was born on June 15, 1904, in Daviess County and was a daughter of Harvey and Willa (Henson) Berry. She married Walter Potts a few years ago and two children were born to the union. They are Eldena Lucile, 6, and William Eugene, 4. Mrs. Potts was a member of the Veale Creek Baptist church. Surviving besides the husband and two children are the parents, who live on the Portersville road, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Lucinda Harrell of Ridgefarm, IL; John F. Berry of Washington; Charles F. Berry of Akron, OH; James Edward Berry and Roy Berry of Washington township. The body was prepared for burial at the Williams morgue and was taken to the home of her parents this morning. Mr. and Mrs. Potts were married on September 5, 1923. Funeral services will be held at 10 O'clock Wednesday morning at the Veale Creek Baptist church, with burial following in the adjoining cemetery. Elwood Williams will have charge of the funeral.
