Word has been received of the death of Melvin Udell Potts, about 50, Glendale, KY, of complications following surgery.
A native of Pennyville, he was a former Daviess county resident and was a nephew of Mrs. Roy Potter and Orris Potts. There are also several first cousins in the Washington area. His parents were the late Christie and Viola (Davenport) Potts. He was a construction worker and a veteran of World War II.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Dixon-Atkins Funeral Home, Elizabethtown, KY, with burial at Fort Knox.
