Ross Winton Potts

Ross Winton POTTS, 82, Montgomery, died at his residence at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday. He was born Feb 20, 1900 to Alex and Martha Jane (Prater) Potts. He had been a maintenance of way foreman for the B & O Railroad and a member of the Montgomery United Methodist Church. Potts is survived by his wife, Mary Potts, whom he married April 11, 1921; four daughters, Mrs. James (Margaret) Beadles, Washington, Mrs. Paul (Mary Annette) Evans of Loogootee, Mrs. George (Linda) Scifano and Mrs. Carol Ragsdale, both of Hurst, TX; six sons, Herbert W. Potts, Curtis L. Potts and Leslie H. Potts, all of Washington, Orris R. Potts of Cumberland, Lowell E. Potts of Euless, Texas, and Robert F. Potts of Haubstadt; 20 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, one sister, and seven brothers. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Montgomery with the Rev. Charles Robertson and the Rev. JOhn Thompson officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at Gill Funeral Hove after 2 p.m. Friday.
